My name is Kendra Haskell, and I am the principal of Prairie View Elementary. In 1997 I graduated from LHS and left Liberal to attend KU.
In 2001, I graduated from the University of Kansas with my degree in Elementary Education. After graduation, I began my career in education as a kindergarten teacher in Topeka, KS. While I was in Topeka, I also attended Washburn University where I earned my Master's degree in Educational Administration. I taught kindergarten for five years before moving to Great Bend, KS to work as a reading facilitator in a Pre-K-6th grade building.
My family enjoyed our time in Great Bend, but we felt led to move back to our hometown of Liberal, KS in 2011. Last year I worked at McKinley Elementary as an instructional coach, and this year I am happy to be working as the principal of Prairie Elementary!
I enjoy spending all of my extra time at home with my family. My husband, Trace, is a physical education teacher at Sunflower Intermediate School as well as a high school football and track coach. We have two adorable children, Joseph and Kaytee, who keep us smiling each day.
I would love to meet you and share the wonderful things happening at Prairie View this year! Please stop by our school to meet me and see our school. I am looking forward to a GREAT year at Prairie View!
