My name is Louisa Gonzalez and this is my seventh year teaching in Liberal, KS. I grew up in a small town near Lubbock, TX, Muleshoe, TX, (home of the Muleshoe Mules!!!). I attended Angelo State University and then transferred to SCCC. I graduated from SCCC with an A.A in Science. I then entered the teaching program at Kansas State University and graduated with a B.A in Elementary Education with an ESL endorsement. Last year, I was able to finish my course work and received my Master’s from Newman University! I have two smart and active boys, Abram who is 9, and Luis who is a sophmore in high school. I was blessed with my beautiful princess, Natalie Elizabeth who just turned 6 this December. We have 2 beautiful Husky dogs, Rocky and Coco who are very energetic and full of life! I absolutely love planning and organizing new and creative ideas to teach my students. I truly feel that I am right where I should be, which is elementary teaching!!!! My hobbies include: reading, writing, singing, spending time with my little family, and watching my kiddos participate in different sporting events (It is ALWAYS GREAT to be a REDSKIN!).
My Philosophy of Education: I believe that all children can learn. I believe that ALL children deserve love and respect-in and out of the classroom. I believe that children are our precious future and we as teachers are entrusted with their care and education so that they can grow into the next leaders in our ever-changing society.
